Seasons change and I love it. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, so much change that you can see, feel and enjoy. In ministry you need to think in Seasons, not just Sundays. Sometimes we get stuck in our thinking that its only Sundays that matter, and in kid ministry seasons, matter.

Far too often, I found myself living from Sunday to Sunday. Finding volunteers, pulling resources, staff meetings, and when we think we have it all finished, another project, call-off, or “Hey can you work on this for me?” happens. We get into this rut that we don’t even see as a rut by living from Sunday to Sunday.

What freed me in my ministry was to begin to change the way I was thinking. I started focusing on seasons, instead of Sundays and it changed the game for me. I found relief, balance and I led myself and my ministry so much better.

Is it time for you to change your thinking? Try Seasons, not Sundays.
